The Koi snowboard reflects the key visual themes and brand identity of the Cardiff Snowboard brand. Utilizing the ornate line work and subtle patterns distinct to Cardiff, this board integrates into the brand’s overall identity. The group component of this project allowed for communication and collaboration to create a cohesive final project.

Cardiff possesses strong brains identity, so research was an integral part of this design process. One key component is the use of Asian motifs throughout their boards, which led to my picking the koi fish as my primary visual. Intricate line work, limited color palette, and subtle patterns are also used across Cardiff’s boards. This led to my use of cream, black, and beige as my primary color palette, with a bright orange accenting the visuals.
